Ray Jeffords

Ray was one of Ware County High School’s all time great athletes. He lettered in basketball, football, baseball and track. He was awarded a scholarship to Georgia in basketball and played four years for the Bulldogs cage team. After graduating from Georgia, Jeffords was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons football team and later tried out with the Old St. Louis ((Now Phoenix) Cardinals. He now resides in Shelby, N.C. where he is employed by Adzel, Inc. as president of that firm in Shelby. He is active in church and civic affairs. He is a member of the United Methodist Church where he has served as the president of the Men’s Club, served on the board of the Life Enrichment Club, the United Way board of directors and board of directors of the Girl’s Club. He is also a member of the Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club. He is married and the father of two sons.
