She was one of Georgia’s greatest women basketball players. She played on four undefeated Waresboro sextets that won four straight 8th and 11th district championships in 1932-33-34 and 1935. She made the all tournament team all four years. She was chosen all tournament team captain one year and once scored 100 points in a game against Woodbine in which Waresboro won 149-9. She was one of three sisters to enjoy an enviable career at Waresboro and later played at Georgia Teachers College (now Georgia Southern). She retired and lived in St. Marys’s Georgia.
